Tori Soudan, a luxury shoe designer from Stratford, Connecticut and graduate of Spellman College began her love for fashion at the age of 9. With positive influences from her parents, she has been able to build her very own empire in the world of European couture shoes. With recent features from the September 2020 cover of InStyle Magazine worn by actress Zendaya, as seen on The Tamron Hall Show, The Real, client Angela Basset, and a host of other celebrities, she has solidified her stance in the fashion industry. This afternoon, I had the exclusive pleasure of experiencing the unveiling of Tori Soudan’s latest shoe design, The Julee.

The Presentation

During the presentation, I along with 35 supporters had the opportunity to have one on one conversations with Tori about her shoes, her inspiration, and the reveal of what is to come. With the company’s 10th year anniversary, knowledge of both the European and American markets, Tori’s expertise shines through answering various questions from her customers and supporters effortlessly. From conversion sizing to color manufacturing, it is clear that Tori is willing and able to share joy as a designer. The meeting also featured polling questions asking about our shoe size, fashionista idles and overall shoe style. From beginning to end, the conference focused diligently on being interactive, allowing for and intimate and unique experience.

Christie Grays Chambers

Christie Grays Chambers, the featured stylist during the event, also a Spellman graduate based in Miami Florida. She showcased her style with pairings from her own closet in the Tori Sedan Shoe Collection. From monochromatic looks, to mix match of prints, guests were able to see how the shoes can go from a casual outing, workplace chic, to an evening of fine dining. Christie shared her fashion tidbits like letting go of the myth of wearing white after Labor Day and the love of prominent colors like fuchsia. Although colors like fuchsia (and to add cobalt and crimson to name a few), are not what are considered neutral colors, it is a palate that can complement most wardrobes.

“Today the Tori Soudan Shoe Collection is about timeless sophistication and sexy, fearless style.”

The Julee

The Julee, a 3-inch boot, made of Venetian leather. The shoe comes in three colors, wine, black, black and white. It is adorned with gold accents, and sports a round heel. This highly unique, creative shoe is available for preorder today and featured on the website. The boot ships December 15th, 2020 right on time for the holiday shopping season. As a bonus, attendees were offered for a limited time only 20% off all purchases.

In addition to the shoes, Tori Soudan specializes in handbags and wallets (yes, they are large enough to fit a cellphone). The appreciation for fine leather and textures are evident throughout the exploration of the collections. If you are in the market for one of a kind, yet relatable wearable art, this is the shoe brand for you. With multiple inspirations to include The Sydney Opera House for the Kelsie bootie, you are sure to find a piece that is right for you and your style.
